The OPTiMUM Group

Optimum Holdings, LLC (OPTiMUM™) is the privately-held North American investment arm of five high-net-worth family offices.

Legacy & Expertise

Built on four generations of entrepreneurial and industrial leadership, OPTiMUM has its roots in the European steel industry, international commodity trade, EPC management, global logistics, and structured trade finance.

Diversified Investment Portfolio

Today, OPTiMUM is invested in businesses that operate across many industries, providing an array of management, operations, technology, working capital and investment support to ‘old economy’ enterprises.

Ventures in North America

OPTiMUM™'s activities in North America date back to the early 1980s with investment holdings in primary metals manufacturing; metals processing and distribution; energy; supply chain management; transformational technologies; a variety of advisory and consulting initiatives; and, most recently, AI.

Information Technology Initiatives

In 1999, OPTiMUM set out to develop and deploy digital-age technologies emerging in the consumer sector to the old-economy industrial sector in which its activities were rooted. These activities began in partnership with KPMG Fides, Zürich in 2000 and continue today under the Bridge Group brand.

Bridge Information Technologies, LLC (Bridge iT™), the IT member of the Bridge Family of Companies, is both a technology provider to OPTiMUM’s investment holdings as well as to the North American steel and aluminum industry.

Tracking Products & Data in the Metals Industry

Last year, Bridge iT and its affiliates (B iT™) tracked approximately 1 billion metal parts, representing a transaction value of approximately $13.7 billion or 7.5 million tons. B iT tracks and traces hundreds of physical and chemical properties related to each part in over a million truck shipments through multiple processing locations during which raw materials are materially transformed into finished end products, i.e., automobiles, appliances, etc. Most importantly, B iT provides its metals clients, affiliates and partners with complete knowledge of where each piece of metal in every part of each component of every finished product was produced, who added what value to each part and on which truck(s) or vessel(s) it was moved.

Entry into Cybersecurity

In 2017, OPTiMUM formed OPTiMUM iD™ (O iD™) and therewith formally entered the cyber security space to develop an ‘edenity,’ a safe, secure electronic identity online, with the goal to once again develop, deploy and transfer cutting-edge digital technologies to multiple old- and new-economy sectors in order to optimize processes and enhance online safety, security, transparency, accountability and commerce.

Expansion into Public Safety

In early 2018, O iD formed Bridge ID, LLC (B iD) in order to address the monitoring needs of the public safety sector in North America and abroad. To this end, O iD acquired the IP and U.S. patents of Verie, LLC, an early mover in the offender monitoring space.

Optimizing Supply Chains

It is OPTiMUM’s goal to leverage and transfer its ability to optimize complex supply chains in which we track and trace over a billion complex engineered parts annually with each having up to 400 unique physical, mechanical and chemical properties through multiple transformation processes, locations and shipments in order to better manage our – and our partners – investment assets, inventories, human capital, intellectual resources, raw materials spend, working capital and logistics costs.

Driving Efficiency and Return on Capital Employed

In short, at OPTiMUM we optimize RoCE by living our mantra:

“efficiency through optimization”
